Fantasy Premier League is now live for the 2026/27 season, and managers are already searching for the best FPL bargains, budget enablers and underpriced players for their Gameweek 1 squads.
Finding value is especially important this season. With Erling Haaland (£15.5m), B. Fernandes (£12.0m) and Gabriel (£8.0m) demanding a significant percentage of the £100.0m budget, selecting the right mid-priced players could make it possible to include multiple premium options without weakening the rest of your FPL team.
Using last season’s data from the Fantasy Football Fix Opta Stats Sandbox, alongside the Fixture Planner, set-piece responsibilities and potential changes in playing time, we have identified six players who could be underpriced in FPL 2026/27.
João Pedro stands out as one of the most appealing forwards in the current FPL price list.
The Chelsea attacker produced 177 FPL points last season, scoring 15 goals and supplying nine assists across 35 appearances. He also collected 30 bonus points, more than any other Chelsea player.
He could have even greater potential under Xabi Alonso. The Chelsea head coach’s system should create plenty of opportunities for versatile attackers capable of operating centrally or behind the striker, making Pedro an exciting option at only £7.5m.
It is therefore no surprise to see him included in the Artificial Intelligence Reveal within our Big Data: Team Reveal tool. The squad is built using the players projected to score the most points across the upcoming five Gameweeks, with the data updated every 24 hours.
One potential concern is Chelsea’s reported interest in Danny Welbeck. Any move could increase competition for attacking minutes, so managers should monitor both the transfer situation and Chelsea’s pre-season line-ups before committing to João Pedro for Gameweek 1.
Dominik Szoboszlai could be one of the most underpriced midfielders in FPL 2026/27.
The Hungarian finished last season with 160 FPL points after scoring six goals and providing seven assists — the joint-most of any Liverpool player. His significant involvement in set pieces offers further encouragement that he could improve on those returns.

Szoboszlai took corners, indirect free-kicks and direct free-kicks last season, scoring an impressive four times from the latter. With Mohamed Salah no longer at Liverpool, he could also become the club’s new first-choice penalty taker, although this will need to be monitored during pre-season.
He also collected 20 FPL points through DEFCON, demonstrating his many routes to returns. Even when he fails to register a goal, assist or clean sheet, his defensive contribution could help him continue accumulating points.
Salah’s departure may allow Szoboszlai to take on even greater offensive responsibility. He was not involved in the World Cup, meaning he should return well rested and ready to play a prominent role from the opening Gameweek.
Cristhian Mosquera could provide the cheapest reliable route into the Arsenal defence—but only if he secures a regular starting position.
William Saliba is expected to miss an extended period after suffering a back injury during the World Cup. Mosquera could therefore start alongside Gabriel during the early weeks of the season, assuming Arsenal do not sign another central defender.
That would make the £5.5m defender particularly appealing.
Arsenal possessed the strongest defence in the Premier League last season, as shown in the Opta Stats Sandbox, conceding only 27 goals and recording 19 clean sheets. Mosquera would cost £2.5m less than Gabriel, who has been priced at a record-equalling £8.0m.
His popularity among proven managers also highlights his potential value. Mosquera currently features in 61.5% of squads within the Elite XI: Team Reveal, including the latest draft from Tarek Balbaa. Balbaa is one of only five FPL managers to have recorded 10 or more top-10k finishes, making his early interest particularly noteworthy.
Mosquera is unlikely to match Gabriel’s attacking threat, but regular starts would give FPL managers access to Arsenal’s clean-sheet potential at a substantial discount.
The Gunners also begin their title defence at home to Coventry before hosting Leeds in Gameweek 5.
His appeal is entirely dependent on minutes, however. Arsenal could enter the transfer market or use Ben White and Jurrien Timber centrally, so Mosquera’s pre-season involvement must be monitored carefully.
Brian Brobbey is an interesting budget forward for managers prioritising the opening two Gameweeks.
As shown in the Fixture Planner, Sunderland rank second only to Manchester United for attacking fixture difficulty across the first two Gameweeks. The Black Cats begin away at Ipswich before hosting Fulham, giving Brobbey an early opportunity to establish himself as a viable £6.0m FPL forward.
He scored seven goals in only 1,931 Premier League minutes last season, while also providing two assists and collecting 12 bonus points.
His longer-term schedule is less attractive, with Sunderland facing Brentford, Arsenal and Manchester City immediately afterwards. He may therefore be better suited to an aggressive early-season FPL draft than as a long-term, set-and-forget selection. However, at only £6.0m, managers could accept the occasional blank if he delivers during the more favourable fixtures.
Iliman Ndiaye could offer excellent value at only £6.0m, although his transfer situation makes him one to monitor rather than an immediate lock.
The Everton attacker scored six goals and provided three assists last season, finishing with 128 FPL points. However, his underlying numbers suggest he could have delivered even more. His 7.19 xG exceeded his final total, while his 4.83 xA was also considerably higher than his three assists.
The Opta Heatmaps Comparison Tool highlights how favourably Ndiaye compares on a per-90 basis with £6.5m teammate Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Despite producing comparable numbers in several key attacking areas, Ndiaye costs £0.5m less. He also appears to be Everton’s first-choice penalty taker, having converted both of his spot-kicks last season, giving him another valuable route to FPL returns.

The schedule is mixed, but the home matches against Crystal Palace and Ipswich could provide particularly strong opportunities for returns.
The main concern remains his future. Al-Hilal have reportedly opened talks over a potential move for the Senegal international, although Everton had not received a formal approach at the time of the initial reports. His situation should therefore be monitored closely before the Gameweek 1 deadline.
Antonín Kinský could become one of the best budget goalkeepers in FPL if he begins the campaign as Tottenham’s first choice.
Spurs have strengthened considerably during the summer, particularly in defence. Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke have arrived as new centre-back options, while experienced left-back Andy Robertson has also joined the club.
Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes should provide further protection and control from midfield.
Those additions could help Tottenham improve defensively under Roberto De Zerbi, potentially making their goalkeeper excellent value at only £4.5m.
João Pedro and Szoboszlai appear to have the strongest combination of proven FPL output, attacking involvement and potential to improve this season.
Mosquera could become an exceptional route into Arsenal’s defence if Saliba remains unavailable and no replacement arrives. Brobbey offers short-term fixture appeal, while Ndiaye’s penalties make him an attractive £6.0m option if he remains at Everton.
Kinský is perhaps the biggest wait-and-see selection. Confirmation that he will start for Tottenham would immediately place him among the most appealing £4.5m goalkeepers.
