Born in Nova Venécia, Brazil in May 1997, began his professional career with América Mineiro in 2015, winning promotion from the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B in his only season before transferring to Fluminense. He made 54 appearances for Fluminese in the Brazilian top flight, scoring 17 goals. His performances caught the eye of newly-promoted Watford and the London club signed him on a five-year contract for a £11.2 million transfer fee in August 2017. He was the only Watford player to feature in every single league game of the 2017/18 season but he could find the back of the net just five times.

Everton signed Richarlison from Watford for a transfer fee starting at £35 million and potentially rising to £50 million in August 2018. He largely played on the wing for the Merseyside outfit and notched 43 goals in 135 appearances with his best tally being 13 goals in both 2018/19 and 2019/20. His goals in the tail-end of the 2021/22 season were crucial in keeping Everton in the Premier League and he even took over penalty duties from Calvert-Lewin. He made his debut for the Brazilian national team in 2018 and has been a regular since, with 14 goals in 36 appearances.

A versatile, hard-working player, Richarlison can play in any position across the front three for Spurs and provides the London side with options when they need to rotate. He has featured for at least 30 matches in each of his seasons in the Premier League which is a testament to his fitness levels, which will be tested under the demanding Conte. Investment for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) cannot be advocated early on as Conte might stick with the traditional front three of Son-Kane-Kulusevski early doors but if he can impress when given the opportunity he could become an option.
