In this blog, the three best Captaincy options for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 20 are discussed. Picks are in the below format:

  1. No.1 predicted by Fix
  2. Alternative high-ownership option. Over 20%

Son Heung-Min (BOU)

After a poor campaign last year, Son has thrived under Postecoglou with 11 goals in 18 games this season, only Salah (12) has found the back of the net more often amongst midfielders (12). He is fourth for shots (45) and third for both shots on target (SoT) (24) and 'big chances' (BC) (11). Meanwhile, only Salah (14) has created more BC than his nine. Spurs have scored 17 goals at home (seventh), the North London side are ranked fifth for shots (169) and ninth for xG (18.57) in home matches. Their visitors Bournemouth have conceded 20 goals in nine away matches and have kept just two clean sheets. The Cherries are ranked 18th for shots conceded (164) and 15th for 'Expected Goals Conceded' (xGC) (17.85) in away matches. Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 7.0 for Son.

City have scored 43 goals this campaign (first), the reigning Champions are second for shots (293) and fourth for xG (37.70). Their visitors Sheff. Utd. have conceded 23 goals on their travels with no side faring worse. They are ranked 18th for xGC (19.98) with only Fulham (23.21) and Luton (26.18) more obliging on their travels.
